The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is currently working with its municipal partners in planning for growth, addressing traffic increases in the Saskatoon area.

The Government of Saskatchewan, City of Saskatoon and R.M. of Corman Park are funding the study for a new west connector route in Saskatoon.

As part of the west connector route study, a public consultation process is about to begin to assess the feasibility of routes that will improve traffic flow in Saskatoon until the Saskatoon Freeway is constructed.

Stantec is the engineering consulting firm leading this study, which will evaluate the routes in terms of the following:

The purpose of this study is to:

  • Ease of implementation  (cost / time / constraints)
  • Improvement to traffic flow in the City of Saskatoon and area.
  • Coordination with the Saskatoon Freeway (alternative or additional route)

A public open house was held on December 2. The display boards and comment sheets are available below.
