The Lewvan Interchange, a $34 million project, is being funded in partnership between the provincial and federal governments with the federal government providing $16 million toward the project.

The Junction of Highway 1 and Lewvan Drive is a very busy intersection with a high collision rate.  This interchange will improve safety and handle the growth in traffic that will arise from new residential and commercial development in the south west area of Regina and as a result of the Global Transportation Hub.

Work on this project has begun and is anticipated to be open to traffic in late fall of 2011.
